Terms and Conditions
Hereafter New Milton Limousines Ltd shall be known as the Company and the person signing this confirmation shall be known as the Hirer.
The Hirer accepts responsibility by himself/herself for every member in his/her party and fully agrees to the conditions of hire as follows:-
SAFETY The Company would like to point out that there is a transmission hump in the centre of the limousine and requests that the Hirer and his/her guests take care when entering and exiting the vehicle.
The Hirer and his/her guests are required by law to wear the seat belts provided and to remain seated at all times. The Company will not be held liable for accidents that occur from guests moving around inside the vehicle.
Our Limousines have flashing lights inside and out. Some people are susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns in everyday life. Such people may have no medical history of epilepsy or have never had any epileptic seizures. If you, your guests or anyone in your/their family has ever had symptoms related to epilepsy (seizures or loss of consciousness) when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, you are advised to consult your doctor prior to your hire. If you or your guests experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of consciousness, disorientation, any involuntary movement or convulsion, whilst exposed to our flashing lights or light patterns, IMMEDIATELY advise your driver and consult your doctor. Parents should ask their children about the above symptoms - children and teenagers may be more likely than adults to experience these seizures. It is the hirer’s duty to inform the Driver if any of the guests have epilepsy or any other similar medical condition.
PRICES The price quoted is for one pick up and one drop off unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. Any additional pick ups / drop offs will be charged at £10 per person. All bookings are subject to a minimum seven (7) days hire. The Contract starts from the time the limousine arrives at the Collection address and terminates upon arrival at the Venue address or return address. If any additional time is required this must be prepaid at £20 per 15 minutes. All outstanding monies shown on the Booking Contract must be paid in full by cheque 10 days prior to the hire date, or by cash, to the driver on arrival of the vehicle - failure to do so may result in the driver refusing entry to the vehicle. A £ 50 deposit is payable for each booking which is non refundable and non transferable. If you cancel your reservation within 7 days of the booking date, 50% of the Balance due fee is payable. If you cancel within 3 days of the booking date, 100% of the Balance due fee is payable.
PUNCTUALITY If you are not at the agreed pick up point at the agreed time, your driver will wait 20 minutes, unless prior arrangements have been made, before terminating the hire. If any additional time is required beyond this 20 minute period this must be prepaid at £20 per 15 minutes or part thereof. A grace period shall be established for late arrival of your limousine due to breakdown, traffic conditions, bad weather etc (any missed time due to unforeseen circumstances will be made up to you at the end of your journey if possible). In the unlikely event that the vehicle is unable to reach you in time for your event and you choose to arrange alternative transportation, the Company will not be liable for any further costs that you may incur and no compensation will be given. We ask customers to be patient whilst waiting for limousines, as sometimes traffic and other conditions beyond our control can cause a delay. Please note that any delay, howsoever caused does not entitle you to any discount.
SERVICEABILTY Whilst the Company services its vehicles regularly, no responsibility is accepted for mechanical, electrical or material breakdown howsoever caused. In the unlikely event of a breakdown every effort will be made for the immediate repair to the vehicle so that the journey can continue or the Hirer will be transferred to another vehicle/s at the Companies sole discretion.
In the event of breakdowns, accidents, bad weather and/or other unforeseeable events the Company accepts no responsibility for missed flight connections and/or other functions howsoever caused.
BEHAVIOUR There is no smoking or eating permitted in the vehicle. The Hirer is responsible for the behaviour of all other guests and the Company has the right to eject any person(s) for the following reason(s):
- Smoking or the consumption of food in the vehicle
- Abusive or threatening behaviour towards the driver or public bystanders. If any such behaviour occurs the booking will be terminated immediately and, if necessary, the police called to attend
- Possession of any illegal weapons or substances
If any person is sick in the limousine, the vehicle will be stopped and the Hirer will be requested to pay £100 for the valeting of the vehicle before the trip can continue. Any person(s) causing damage to the limousine or leaving it in an unacceptable condition (in the opinion of the driver) will be charged accordingly and may be driven to the nearest police station without prior warning from the driver.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS Whilst the Company will endeavor to take reasonable care of your property, if you choose to leave articles in the vehicle, neither the company nor its drivers are in any way responsible for loss or damage to these articles. The Hirer and his/her guests assume full liability for all articles that may be damaged (including personal injury) whilst getting in and out of the vehicle.
